In the framework of preparation for the heating season, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has laid the groundwork for the accumulation of stocks of fuel and logistical resources, assures Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

"We have ensured the proper start and will endure the upcoming heating season. We have sufficient gas reserves, everything will be fine with electricity, everything will be fine with heating", said Volodymyr Groysman.

At the same time, he stressed that an issue of tariff forming and creation of fuel reserves is the exclusive competence of local authorities that currently have all the necessary resources at their disposal.

This is within the competence of local authorities - to properly clean sidewalks, roads, to support transport... We devolved funds for these purposes", the Head of Government said. “Everyone should be fully aware of the responsibility."

The PM informed that an all-Ukrainian teleconference is due September, so that heads of regions present data on the readiness of regions for the winter, adding it is crucial to cooperate with weather forecasting services to get ready for worsening of the situation.
