Gov't changes approaches to vocational education and introduces the concept of regional demand, claims Volodymyr Groysman

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within the framework of pursuing the reform of the education system retrofits approaches to the system of vocational education, reviews the principles of its funding and introduces the concept of regional demand, which will bring  employer's requirements and educational opportunities as close as possible. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the Government meeting.

"There is growing interest in the Ukrainian industry. The process begins. But the first question to be answered is the training of the staff, the Head of Government emphasized, we introduce the concept of regional demand for personnel - this is a real order for enterprises".

The Prime Minister stressed the strategic goal of Government development programs is, among other things, creation of jobs in Ukraine, provision of decent wages, so that Ukrainians were not looking for a better fate around the world and added that people should be given a good education and decent work.

Volodymyr Groysman recalled the Government has allocated UAH 100 million for the development of vocational education and the creation of educational centers. This will increase the number of such centers and expand the list of professions.

"We need to create working conditions in order to stop labor migration. The issue can be solved in a few years. The task is decent wages and high-quality jobs", the Prime Minister underscored.
